Since joining Grey Construction under the leadership of his late father Sharif Uz Zaman Khan, he has steered its growth from a modest venture to a leading name in Pakistan’s real estate sector, delivering high-quality housing for middle and upper-middle-class families. With a degree in civil engineering from NED University and licenses in construction management and real estate from Canadian institutions, Farooq has combined his local and North American expertise to introduce durable, value-for-money projects. Under his leadership, Grey Construction has consistently delivered on the promise of building homes that remain as good as new for decades, earning the trust of clients through super-durable structures and innovative designs.

Mr. Farooq’s commitment to innovation extends beyond technical excellence. His long-term vision includes creating self-sustaining urban developments, with a focus on sustainable construction practices that lower costs while minimizing environmental impact. His leadership is also reflected in his contributions to industry standards, as the author of the Cantonment Board Clifton’s building by-laws and an advisor to the State Bank of Pakistan on housing initiatives.

As a three-time Chairman of ABAAD and an active member of the Pakistan Engineering Council, he has played a key role in advancing Pakistan’s construction sector.
